Scrimshaw Tooth, Reproduction Nantucket Sleighride Whaling Scene

This reproduction scrimshaw whale tooth featuring a 19th-century whale hunt and "Nantucket Sleighride", which is the term for when a harpooned whale drags the hunting crew in its small whale boat upwards of miles until the whale exhausts itself.  This beautifully detailed piece is handmade in Massachusetts of "eco ivory", a high-quality resin that mimics actual ivory.  Its intricate scrimshaw design and authentic coloration is a testament to the skill of the artisans who crafted this unique collectable work of art.
